Rereleased App

Hi All,

Have just re-released the xPL Bridge application at
<a href="http://www.xplhal.com/xpl/xPL_Bridge.zip";>http://www.xplhal.com/xpl/xPL_Bridge.zip</a>

For those not familiar with this application, it allows the bridging of xpl
networks across the internet (so allowing your holiday home or office to
become a part of your main xpl system).

It uses MD5 hashing to prevent the repeated looping of messages

And blowfish encryption to encode the message on the internet

Config settings are
LOCALPORT=<local port to use>
REMOTEPORT=<remote port to use>
REMOTEIP=<ip address of remote bridge>
ENCRYPTION=<security phrase, default=secretpassword>

There is a text file in the application folder called bridge.ini which can
be used to preconfigure the settings. If it exists and contains valid data,
the bridge will commence working without waiting to be configured. It is
also recommended to create a source.cfg file.

Anyone intending to test/use the bridge and who _also_ use my vb6 hub,
should download the updated version of the hub.

If either or both of your bridges are behind a NAT router, remember to
setup
port redirection as appropriate.

The vendor/device for the the bridge is XPL-BRIDGE, as it is a joint effort
between myself and Ian.

Regards
Tony
