delay request

Hi All
Was wondering would it be possible to add a delay in xplhal between
requests to a device. Whats happening in my case is this...When the
pictvosd
goes online and sends a config hbeat it gets a config.list req and
config.current straight after each other...My pic tvosd displays these
messages but when its actualy sending the text to the tv it disables any
serial rxing and therefore misses the second message...a short delay i
think would fix this .....possible ??
