Not really. You could have filters for xpl-trig and xpl-cmnd which would
give most stuff, and as you say this filters out xpl-stat. But a lot of
non-heartbeat messages are xpl-stat too. Depends on the app's being run and
what you want to see.
I've sent bob a new version offlist that ignores heartbeats.
