Hi Paul,

The current xpl_phone app relies on a 3rd party ocx (included). But this
put's some limits on what the application can _currently_ achieve.

It was designed to allow the scripting of an xpl answering service and
house
control/reporting menu. Which it achieves.

With regards to listening in, speaking thru the whole house system and
voice
control I doubt the current app can be modified for this.

The next generation of the app will not rely on a 3rd party control, so
there's no major reason why these couldn't be achieved. Though the tapi
stuff is done via wav files so we'll need to be able to encode to wav on
the
fly. A modem with mic/headphone sockets might make it possible to bypass
the
need for wav's for these functions though.

Regards
Tony
