RE: XP Sp2 = no Xpl

I think I've found it, the Xpl service Xplhal.exe has to be unblocked.
The firewall was initially just unblocking the Hal manager for Windows
program.

All appears to back to normal :-)

Cheers
Martin

Hmmm. I just went to SP2 (last night!) and everything still works - I
had to unblock each app as it launched, but apart from that all is
well... the only provisio, my xPLHal PC is a Windows 2003 Server, so
it's not affected by SP2...

Ian.

Subject: [ukha_xpl] XP Sp2 = no Xpl

Hi All

Have recently installed Xp Sp2 and have noticed that Hal is not picking
up any heartbeats and nothing is being shown in Xpl devices.

XPLHal and XplHV and XplWM are all in the new windows firewall
exceptions list but still nothing works.

Do I need to add a port to unblock ?

TIA
Martin
