That's great stuff, and IMO just goes to show how flexible and mature
xPLHal has become.

Maybe we should have a section on the web site for case studies?

Yes - just use the Set Global Variable action and select the Period
global.

In fact, I've just tried it, and as soon as you select Period as the
global, you automatically get a drop-down to select either Day or Night.
