it happened again...@ 5 AM.  i figured out what killed it.  i'm
bridging an xap email monitor app and at 5 AM the app sends an xap
message for every email on my pop server.  i guess that was enough to
kill the xap hub.  i've disabled that feature in the email monitor app
& hopefully that solves this problem.
