Rio/Dell Random not so random

Hi,

I'm having trouble with the randomness of random play. essentially the
problems are:

1. The songs seem to be the same ones played over and over - sure it
selects a lot of songs, but they seem to be the same batch. Since I listen
to my rio/dell's all day while working I get to hear the repeats

2. it seems to like specific artists - I had a whole hour of music by Sting
and no other artist the other day - I even tried fwd'ing through finally
managed to get a 'non-sting' track, but when that completed, guess who
played next!.

What I generally do is:

1. Clear the current playlist
2. select random, repeat all
3. select artist, play all

Anyone else suffering?

Andy
