I can confirm that the xAP support is not related to the built-in xPL
hub.
Removal of the xPL hub should not affect xAP support in any way, and xAP
support is still very much present in the upcoming v1.5 release of the
xPLHal server.
If anything, we will be looking to refine the xAP support a little in
the future, as I know that Kevin has raised some feature requests in the
past which we have never got around to looking at.
