Indeed... Worse was when I managed to stop the hub - at that point,
xplhal started using over 450Mb of memory,  and crashed... Not pretty!

I'm actually having a lot of issues with the environment today - going
to try a nice reboot I think. :D

4500 packets per second still seems a bit extreme though!
