Interesting :-(

Sound as if the one you got was a SPLITTER not a DOUBLER which was what I
was worried about in the first place.

The ones I received were made by MAXVIEW (TP727)

Packaged in a green blister pack.

Can you use a multimeter to tap out the connections and see what they are.
If they are not the same as mine then I would suggest that Maplin should
refund as they are not what they claim to be.

Not RJ45 SPLITTER.

You do still need to DAISY CHAIN the units and intermediate ones must have
the termination resistors removed.

I ordered up a few of the RJ45 splitters that were mooted about this
week and they arrived on Saturday morning.

Finally got around to trying one tonight and it doesn't work, or at
least appears not to here. It introduces one hell of a noise from the
right channel on sound and the video on one set was very discoloured by
reds on one set while just appearing darker than it should on the other.


Ho hum, back to waiting on the mail that tells me that the switcher is
complete ;-)
