Hi Gavin,

you would need a SCART splitter box with two sockets.
These come in two types..

ACTIVE - contains a small amplifier
PASSIVE - doesnt contain an amplifier.

When two devices are connected to a passive splitter the signal level drops
below the standard video level. Most domestic equipment will tolerate
incorrect
levels without too much degradation of picture but better quality gear will
suffer as it expects the proper levels.

The level can easily be restored to the correct levels by removing the
termination resistors from the KAT5 TX ( or ordering one without them
fitted
"TXU" = Transmitter Unterminated)

Alternatively, if the source device is something like a DVD player, Tivo,
Freeview etc, there are often multiple sets of outputs.

DVD tends to have SCART as well as MiniDin and Phonos which can often be
used
simultaneously.

Likewise, Digibox, Freeview, Tivo all have a VCR scart that could be used
as a
second output. If you happen to already have a VCR connected to the set-top
box
then it may be that the second SCART on the VCR outputs what is connected
to
the first SCART input.
