Yes - and I have changed the position of each receiver via the patch
panel,
as well as gradually adding receivers. So, for example, If I go TX---
RX
(without any unterm receivers) I can position the RX unit at any of
the 4
CAT5 outlets and it will work fine. From this I think I can assume
that the
CAT5 wiring is not faulty. When I add RXUs into the chain the picture
gets
darker.

There is no star wiring

Yes

Yes. If I set up a chain of TX to RX only I can put the RX on each of
the 4
TVs and get a bright picture.

Yes

Thanks, Keith. I would be grateful if you can confirm that it should
be
possible to run 4 or more receivers in a chain without noticable
darkening
of picture. As I mentioned, I have 6 to fit altogether, and if I am
pushing
the technology a bit I may rethink my plans. If it looks like a
problem at
my end then I will try some more investigation to work out what the
problem
is.

Regards

Mark
