I think Maplin are selling the 640x480 only Gamer version (doesn't seem
much point in having a TV trying to display higher resolution really),
which costs =A329 +VAT from the manufacturers, and a minimum of =A346 in
quantity from Maplin- is there an offer on which betters that?

Full colour video- about 6MHz? Ethernet- 100Mbps- I know Mbps !=3D MHz,
but
near enough to suggest it might work OK...

Ethernet audio is likely to require a reasonable amount more of a cable
than analogue (or even digital) audio. AES-EBU (or IEC-958
whatever-you-call-it) would probably do the trick even better- it's
basically the balanced pro digital audio format- designed for 110 ohm
impedance- remarkably close to UTP.

For my situation, the problem is trying to forecast crosstalk- it would be
good to know in advance what will work with various combinations of signal
in the cable- so I've bought a good length (30m- longer than my likely
maximum run in the house) to try it out.

Planned signals to send down the pairs would be
MicroLAN (ibutton)
IR
Telephone audio
Composite video
Digital audio
Audio L
Audio R

No plans for Ethernet as yet, and I'm suspecting the rest _might_ co-exist
where it would be neater to combine some on 1 cable- I'm planning on each
pair to be individually patchable- possibly on RCA-phono plugs... %-)
