That's nothing....
I spent 1.5 hours trying yesterday to get a phone number for a supervisor
in
customer services. Guess what ? They are NOT on the phone you can only
write in !!!!
Why do I want to speak to someone in authority ?
Since you ask I will tell you.
Three months ago my system crashed and I had to re-set-up my router, but I
did not have any of the details phone number, DNS etc, so I rang the help
number, explained I was on anytime HH using a single channel and was given
all the details.
Everything worked fine and I thought nothing else about it until yesterday
lunchtime.
I noticed my router had locked out - network problems, I reset it a few
times and it connected, I thought I will look at the BTinternet pages and
see if there was any reason for the interruption of service.
And here is where my day turned bad.....
I accidentally clicked on the wrong FAQ page which revield the phone
numbers
for connecting, the number I was using was listed for ISDN 128K, but the
number I should have been on was ISDN 64k SINGLE CHANNEL :-((
Quick call to 150 to find out what my up coming phone bill will be ?530 !!
So that premium rate call three months ago has cost me ?532.50p !!!!
I will not be judge and jury yet as I don't know if BTinternet will do the
honourable thing and pay for the call charges yet.
John
