I too have a delay in my pronto config, and it works spot on 100% of the
time. From memory it is only 0.1 or 0.2, but my pronto is tucked away at
the
moment while I decorate the lounge (yes! I finally started!!!)

What kind of lighting do you have in the room where the 543 is? Flourescant
tube lights are known to interfere with IR, and so do the energy saving
bulbs
(allegedly, though I have them throughout the house with no ill effects)
