        Before I moved (4 weeks ago) I was using Freeserve via ISDN2 and I have to say that the connect failures were very few. Perhaps one in 20 times or so it would be busy but an immediate redial got through.

        I was generally quite happy with their setup ( probably because I never had to phone them for support ). They did get a bit clogged at times (early evening) but for the cost being effectively free ( £10 with a £10 credit to my phone calls I thought it was great value).

        Having said that I did opt for ADSL at my new house although it appears that it might have to come out and be replaced with a cable service due to BT refusing to transfer my number from the old house (which is 100 yards away !). They never fail to amaze me with crass stupidity - & they wonder why people get pissed off with them
