Absolutely, 40 quid is about right for the fun factor, but 300... phew.

In truth, I can get most of what i will use it for over the web
(listening to 6 music now for instance) - ok it takes a bit of bandwidth
but that's not a major problem normally.

It will be good for timed recordings of stations and the ability to get
my local bbc station (which doesn't broadcast on the web yet).
