I think it's the former. When I arrive home the outdoor light sensor flashes
red, but the front garage light takes ages to come on. Once I have parked
the car and go round the back of the garage the rear sensor (same model)
flashes and the light comes on within seconds. Both run identical macros
and are not directly connected (so to speak).

Sounds a lot like a machine waking up or swapping back into memory.
Is there a way to keep a process in memory or to increase priority under
XP pro?
