But it's on the connector, which is presumably plugged in the back of PC. Does it work when it's plugged there, or you need to use extension cable to bring it in front where it's in line of sight of IR remote.

I made the circuit for a couple of pound and it controls Winamp &
Musicmatch a treat. I had some extra thoughts on building the device and
distributing the signal via CAT5, I have taken some pictures and put
them on my humble website ?
