Wireless 802.11a
Hi All,
Futher to the posting earlier this month about Licenesing issues with
802.11a equipment the following may be of interest
"UK Radiocommunications Agency (UK RA) has agreed that until full
approval is granted, 802.11a wireless LAN can be used in the UK under
the condition that each end user site needs to obtain a =81temporary
use=81=
license from the Radiocommunications Agency. The licence can be applied
for using the form provided, is valid for 6 months and cost =A3300 per
site, or effectively =A350 per month. The licence can then be renewed
for
another 6 month period by reapplying to the UK RA."
