Re: [OT] How to fit a digital mini dish??

Allthough I got the free install from Sky, I once bought an ex bsb decoder
and dish and got the eprom changed so that I could receive some european
channels.
With a compass I got the dish pointing in generally the correct direction
and then moved it up and down until I got a signal - really easy - and it
just happened that I could see the sat from my bedroom window from the
inside so it was really easy to get it going.

With the modern signal meter on the boxes its even better.  Not worth paying
an installer unless your afraid of heights.  Its a two person job really
unless you can set the tv up inside a window so you can see it while your
performing outside.
