Their technology isn't great though. I placed my first order with them
two weeks ago. After a week, nothing had arrived so I checked the order
status and it said "checking".

I emailed play.com and it turned out I had typed my card number
incorrectly. I was told I should call customer services, give them the
right number, and they could manually delete and re-order the dvd. I
called but was on hold for too long so I simply changed my card number
online and emailed them to let them know. They then had to manually
delete and re-order the dvd.

I suggested to them that it might be a good idea to automatically email
customers who enter invalid card details and they said they would "pas= s
on your suggestion". Seems rather a basic part of an ordering system. = If
I hadn't have checked, I'd still be waiting.
