Re: Multi Remote - Which one......
First-time poster here - be gentle.
The pronto UI can be edited using ProntoEdit, a bespoke application

There is a free application called SuperNudeList (this is not that
kind of posting...!), which purports to allow you to generate CCF
files to control CD/DVD jukeboxes, which seems to be what you want -
http://www.ox.compsoc.net/~leo/nudelist/index.html.
I haven't tried
it myself.
Another possible approach, rather than buying a Pronto, is to get a
PDA (e.g. an iPAQ) and add software to it to allow you to fire
InfraRed. I bought TV Remote Controller from www.padwin.com at
around $20. It's now at v4 (have tried 3.1) and it supports voice
control. This software accepts CCF files, so you can create whatever
interface you like. You may want to add an IR extender to your PDA
if you go down this route, but they are fairly cheap. Essentially
you get the colour Pronto, with a lot of memory, for a lot cheaper
than the colour Pronto. And you get a fairly decent PDA too.
A good site for some of this stuff is www.remotecentral.com.
Hope this helps.
