Yes,
it's a pink noise that I used for adjusting levels.
I
don't know what kind of noise was on those frequencies, but I think it was
also
pink noise.
There
are also signals on that DVD for rattle test.
One
goes through whole spectrum 20Hz-20kHz.
The
others are 5 chunks of that spectrum, I forgot what the borders of each
exactly
are, but I can check.
If,
for instance, I put one of those chunks to play constantly and measure SPL,
and
then go through each of them and repeat, will I get 5 points on a frequency
response chart so I can make a graph. I know that it's not accurate, just 5
points, but my equalizer is also not perfect. I have an option to change
gain on
3 freqencies only.

The only way
to
properly do this is with a spectrum analyser, pink noise and a flat
response microphone. Your SPL meter will quite possibly be
inaccurate if you're listening to different frequencies of tone
seperately. We have our dubbing theatres lined up by Dolby every
now
& then, and though a Tandy SPL meter is fine for quick level
measurements (with pink noise), a proper spectrum analyser is needed,
with
a microphone with a very flat response, to adjust the
eq.
Is
there pink noise on the test DVD? Perhaps a PC spectrum analyser prog
could be found too. Dolby obviously use veh veh expensive flash
analysis equipment for this task.
