I managed to scrape enough cash together to buy Tivo yesterday.  I did= the
install guide, but can I get it to control my cable box?  Can I hell!&= nbsp; It
all seems to work perfectly, but it sends the first two digits, then a paus= e
of up to 10 seconds and the 3rd digit.  By the time the 3rd digit is received, the cable box has stopped listening for the numbers.  I call= ed
Tivo, and they say I need to buy a cable remote for =A330.  That's ano= ther 30%
on the cost of the box.  It's a cruel twist of fate - I can't afford i= t, but
the few hours I've been able to use Tivo have been great, and I see the
potential.  Unless someone has a solution, I'll have to take it back o= r sell
it on.
