Modem Problems, please help



Hope someone can offer a bit of advice....
 
I'm looking for a bit of help with fixing a modem problem  thats developed recently on my HA pc. I'm using it for dial in on HAL2000, the only problem is dial in does'nt work anymore !!!!  I shall explain:-
 
Modem is a hal voice portal modem which is used specifically for hal2000, allowing local control of pc via internal phones. All functions work fine on the modem, with the expectoin of the dial in. The modem does not see incomming ringin when I dial in, so does not answer. I have a second modem on the pc, which works fine when I plug the phone line into it, and it recognises the incommming ringing.  So far I have :-
 
Updated and re-installed driver (was already using latest version).
Removed all PCI cards (just in case)
Confirmed no conflicts on my pc (thanks to some earlier advice from another hal user)
Tried different versions of drivers.
I have also tested the ring in using hyperterminal, and get the same results.
 
Does it look like my modem is knackered ? Its not very old, so should still be under warranty, but its just going to be a pain to get a replacement.
 
Any advice appreciated ?
