Tim,
This
situation arises whenever someone as old and senile as yourself dares to
suggest
that a 14 year old doesn't have a complete and infallible understanding of
all
things technological, especially as they relate to Playstations. After all,
he's
bound to have a friend whose dad knows a bloke down the pub who leaves
_his_ PSX
connected to _his_ CRT projector 24x7 and it's never done as much as
consume
electricity.
You
should therefore refrain from attempting to reason, and just have the
projector
doctored so that it doesn't physically work with the Playstation. It's the
only
way to be sure.
My AV
kit heaved a huge sigh of relief when our 16-year-old moved
out!
Steve
P.S.
Those tubes are expensive - IMHO it's not worth the
risk.
I’ve just had a miserable
14 year
old slamming my front door because I suggested that using a PSX with a 12
month old Sony CRT projector probably wasn’t a good idea as there is
a danger
of burn-in.
Am I right, or being overly
cautious?
Tim
