One of the main reasons I do it! (My amp is hidden by the end of the

This is what I was thinking but the problem there is that Keith isn't
(AFAIK) supporting the switching of digital audio bitstreams in his
switcher! Hence no Digital audio from my Nokia On Digital box or AC3
feed from my Laserdisc player.

Anyway, I use the input switching on my amp to change DSP modes as my
Yammy associates DSP modes with inputs - so even though I currently use
my DVD player as a CD player I have the optical digital out going to one
input (VCR2 IIRC) along with the S-Video feed and the electrical digital
output going to the CD input - that way when I choose "CD" the
amp
disables all surround sound processing and switches to straight stereo.
