Good point.  He did mention once looking into DA decoding KAT5 units, but
not in the context of the switch.
For most multi room applications, stereo will be fine, so I suspect this
will not be considered a 'must have' for the switcher as the majority of
people are unlikely to have surround sound setups in each room!

Much as I do with the Knekt stuff at present, I guess even in a switched
world, it'll be a case of feeding all video sources to you surround amp in
the main room for the best piccie & sound quality & take a feed
from scart
2/svideo + phono outs etc to KAT5 switch to feed to the other rooms......
