I have had one for three months and am very happy with it, so to answer

It's small with a good range for sensors and will interface with homeseer.

Hide it in a closet? Remember it will have already called you by this time.

Kinda, it has several, one code to say it is armed, one to say an alarm is
triggered, one for an external siren etc. Two codes for lifestyle
functions.
Remember everything is wireless and it took me about 30 mins to deploy 8
pirs 3 door sensors and two fire alarms.
It can also be operated over the phone and via a small keyring remote - the
thing is really good value for the price. Download the user guide from
laser
and have a read.
