Perspex IS acrylic, its just that it was the first on the market and the trade name stuck as a generic name for acrylic sheet.

Its exactly the same with Public Adrress systems that are referred to as "Tannoys" despite the fact that the majority of systems currently= in use are
not made by Tannoy. Most people "Hoover" the carpets even though = their
vacuum cleaner is a Dyson, Electrolux, Vax etc.

So Paul got a Rotozip for Christmas and is going to use it to cut his
<acrlyic_sheet>*, I hope he has got a good <vacuum_cleaner>* be= cause it will
make one hell of a mess if it is anything like the time I used my Router fo= r
cutting out some Perspex**. The little fragments go everywhere and are also=
highly charged with static so will stick to vertical surfaces as well :-)

** It was an offcut of genuine perspex from the local glass company.

Heh - when I asked my local plastics specialist for acrylic sheet
recently, I got the reply "Acrylic? Ah, you mean Perspex!".
