Hi Anto,
I asked my friend, who is in web hosting and that stuff. This is his reply
to me:

The cheapest online payment solution is to collect CC details through a SSL
secured form which is then sent to a vendor in encrypted email (PGP). The
vendor processes orders offline manually. Another issue is developing a
shopping basket application. There are a few open source (free) application
for PHP/MySQL and a few cheap solutions for NT (ASP/MS Access technology),
but it always requires a bit of a knowledge to integrate such an out of box
system into your web site. The web hosting charges for the above solution is
typically around ?100 per year for Linux or ?200 per year for Windows 2000
hosting.
We specialise in EzPublish (www.ez.no) open source content management and
shopping basket application. If you need help with your site we can
integrate your web design in eZPublish shopping basket  for around ?1000.
Please contact us if you'd like more information

I don't know much about that, so if you need more info, you'll have to
contact him directly.

Cheers,
Nik

P.S.
I don't know how this mail will be categorized, so i put [ADVERT] in
subject, just not to offend anyone.

provider.

  Hi,

A friend wants to start up a web site to sell hand crafted items made by
a group of disabled people he is involved with.
His web skills are enough for him to create a simple web site.
Can anyone recommend a reliable / cheap source of processing on-line
credit & debit card orders that can be integrated as a shopping basket
  in a simple web site??

  Many Thanks,

  Anto.
