I would have to agree with Ronni 100% on this one.

As some of you may know I own a NACOSS approved installation company and
have been in the business for over 20 years, past experience with radio
based systems  has been very negative, not only alarms but radio intercoms,
signalling and video transmission.
Unlike paint they do not do what it says on the tin, any claims on
performance are usually over exaggerated and based on use in open air, I'm
sure not many of us live in a field.
If you can wire it then do so, there is a lot to be said for keeping it as
simple as possible, removing all that additional circuitry must improve
reliability.
Also don't buy the cheapest equipment from the local DIY store, good quality
doesn't cost much more.

As for how long to do a house or small office, normally about 2 days.
