I went for 8 core screened everywhere as it's not much more expensive
and Comfort keypads (that's if you're installing Comfort!) are
recommended to have 2 wires each for +12V and 0V. Might be a good
investment (or running two 6 core everywhere) - you never know when you
might want to add a second/different sensor or extend one down for
something else (unless you've already done this with Cat5). I put in
shed loads (5Km Cat5 and 2-3Km 8 core) and I still wish I'd put in more
for those things you didn't plan for!

Thanks for the reply. I've cabled using 6-core exclusively, so I'll just
tape up the unused cores where not required.
