RE: [OT] digi cam advice

My Father-in-law just got one of these:
https://secure.hitech-uk.com/acatalog/Casio_EX_Z3.html

I wouldn't normally recommend anything by Casio, but it's got a cracking
screen and good PQ.

BUT...just re-read your email, and seen the price limit - so ignore me
(except to say that it's worth paying the extra, and that the Casio is dead
simple to use (apparently, I've not tried)

Pete

PS Actually, he could buy my aging, but in very good condition (i.e. as
new), Finepix 4700Z.....

crikey, yet another OT from me, - whatever next?!

I'm after buying a simple digital camera for a (non-technical) relative,

I'm currently looking at the following models:

Kodak CX3230
Sony DSC-U30
Fuji Finepix A202
HP Photosmart 435

The requirements are:

Must be simple to operate, in the =A3100-=A3150 bracket, movie mode is not=

important, 2MP is sufficient (most pics will be emailed rather than=20
printed), plus the usual aesthetic niceties, such as the smaller the

etc...

Anyone have any comments/recommendations about these models, - or any
other=
=20
models I should be considering?

TIA
