The pink string forms the structure for my whole house intercom system -
cocoa tins at both ends ;) ... and no, I don't get must interference as I
used a special nylon polymer based string ;)

Seriously though - strong nylon pink string was one of my vital re-wiring
tools along with several long lengths of net curtain wire and copious reels
of electricians tape!

Paul.

Do you get much intereference on the pink string when run so close to
mains cables :)

I've run the lighting and ring mains wiring together in several
locations - no problem with interference etc. Have a look at:

www.siliconpixel.com/gallery

for some pics of enclosures, wiring etc :-)

54way !!!
Boy they must be big !

I am totally rewiring so not really necessary to incorporate with
existing (except for existing switch and socket positions).

I fully intend to have a master CU with breakers and feeds
to sub-enclosures with the x10 bits in, so they will be seperated from
this pointof view.

What I meant was when running the cable around the house (through holes
in joists etc).

The old wiring though had ring and lighing feeds all runing along the
joists together, and sharing holes when running at right angles to the
joists. Is this still okay, or would I be better toseprate them...

Cheers,
John.
