Interesting you should say that - I have to return something to them now.
I build a lot of shuttle boxes (SS56L's) with 2.8 celerys in them
I had to build a "budget" one the other day and opted for a 2.4
instead.
It didn't work.
So I put in one of my 2.8's and it worked.
Ergo, one would assume a faulty cpu

I went through the motions to get an rma number and then was told
"sorry
sir, that's a Celery-D, and they are not compatible with the SS56L and
anyway, you opened the box (a retail one - no OEMs in stock) so it would be
very very hard to sell it again."

I pointed out the 3 or 4 recent orders for 2.8 Celery-D's and SS56L's which
worked fine, so perhaps the 2.4 WAS faulty after all, and as for re-selling
the retail cpu well, just flog it as an OEM part :)

Surprisingly, they came back with an RMA number!
Of course, when they get the CPU back that's another matter, but still....

Cheers,

T.
