Sorry about mess in subject, its because I use digest mode.
In answer to the question it probably depends on the speed of your
network, the speed of the PC, amount of memory and disk speed. I'm not
sure of the impact of wireless vs cabled and Squeezebox vs Slimp3 also.
I'm running four Slimp3s and a softsqueeze from one PC, that does my
family printing, file sharing (Samba), internet sharing and have not
experienced any perf problems. Using Mandrake 10.1 on an Athlon XP1800+
with 512MB ram. With the Slimp3s running and nothing else its about
20-30% busy from memory.
