Jason,
When I spoke to the chap at Sky, he initially told me the same thing...
To which I replied, - suppose I cancel my multiroom subscription, (which,
as
I am past the 12 month contractual obligation period, I am perfectly at
liberty to do...), - and then immediately re-subscribe...
He went away and had a word with his manager, and came back and accepted
that I was quite correct after all, and that I *CAN* have the same offer
conditions, - however, no-one at Sky had actually thought to anticipate
such
a likelihood, and so the billing system wasn't set up to accept it.
What they've had to do is charge me £99, - which is what their system is
set
up to process, and then immediately refund me £50 of that. -
"allegedly"
this was all done whilst I was on the phone... -- call me Mr. cynical, but
we shall see... - I shall be looking out for the £50 refund to appear on my
statement at exactly the same time as the £99 charge appears....
Give them another call and press your case...
