I would think so yes.

For a kit the programming of the micro may be a challenge. I don't have a
zif socket for this size and there won't be enough room for a DIL one so
some of the components may have to be pre-assembled just to make it work. I
will look into a zif but they are normally very expensive. I will also buy
and install a boot loader so the firmware can be updated over the serial
port by anyone with a computer and serial port. Makes life a lot easier.
