I got their email this morning (God their SkyHD website is annoying!) and
was browsing it earlier.

I'm absolutely sure that Sky HD does support component video output at 720p
and 1080i. I read somewhere that they had decided to support HiDef on
component video on the initial boxes (well, they had to as the plasmas they
were plugging a few years ago as HiDef ready had component video inputs but
no DVI or HDMI) but were considering removing that functionality on later
boxes for copy protection reasons.
