He he - I reckon most people's preference is basically whatever they
currently have, and the "wouldn't touch it with a barge pole" is
whatever they used to have. To put it another way, if you've owned PCs
for enough years, you will have had a hard drive fail. The unfortunate
manufacturer then goes in the "barge pole" category and you try
another
make.
Personally I wouldn't use Western Digital, but when I recall that the
only failure of one of their drives was one that was posted across the
Atlantic twice, maybe I'm being a bit harsh!
