Real HA - central heating control by the radiator

Wifey has opened the Ha budget box (even if she doesn't know it ;-))
and
asked for better control over our central heating. This is being driven by
the kids changing bedrooms and their tolerance to the warm and cold sides
of the house.

The central heating is already controlled by HV and essentially is on 24/7
with HV switching the thermostat and altering the setpoint temperature to
suit. Now, what is needed is radiator by radiator control where we can
still have the heating controlled as it is but be able to switch
individual radiators on and off using some sort of wall controller and
local temperature sensing.

This wall controller I hope to build so no worries there. What I need is
the favourite old radiator valve recommendation. David W posted this link
back in Feb 04 which a friend was using
<http://www.myson.ie/pages/trv3.html>
I will try and chase this down over
the next week or so and get prices and availability etc.

Does anyone have any new discoveries to share on motorised valves for
radiators?

Thanks

Ian
