RE: CCTV, Geovision ?
Hi Marc, I do not know about ANPR but the preset stuff is the camera
itself=
.

The most expensive camera I bought is a PTZ, I think it is this one which
a=
t
the time cost about =A3600!

=20
When I bought it I thought it could manage presets cos the booklet said it
could, but no it does not!
=20
I am told you need to spend hundreds more on that feature!! I was not
happy=
!
=20
Having said that it is a fantastic camera and strongly recommended!.

I also use Geovision with 12 cameras, well that is I used to until I sold
m=
y
house and now it all resides in a big box in the loft! Most of the cameras
were to watch my Meerkats.

Subject: [ukha_d] CCTV, Geovision ?
=20
Hey Guys,
I've got a friend that wants to setup a CCTV system. I know there are a=20
lot of people here that are hot on CCTV and I'm hoping someone might be=20
able to help.
He is after a CCTV system that can do all the basic stuff but he also=20
wants to be able to run ANPR and more importantly he wants the ability=20
for the system to move a PTZ to a preset when a PIR detects movement.
The geovision system seems to tick most of the boxes he wants including=20
the ANPR, but I can't see anything in the geovision range that allows=20
set PTZ positions based on PIR input.
Basically a PIR detects movement and closes a contact. The CCTV system=20
detects this and moves the camera to a preset. The preset would have=20
been setup in advance to show the area the PIR covers. This seems like=20
a pretty easy thing to achieve especially since the Geovision system=20
allows recording based on IO input, but I can't see anywhere that allows=20
me to say that if input 1 is active then move camera 5 to preset 1 for=20
30 seconds.
He also needs all the standard stuff like 24/7 recording, SMS text on=20
events, web interface for control over broadband etc etc.
Anyone know of a way round this ? hope it all makes sense.
Cheers
