Hi,
I retried the Meteor connector tonight and got it working after some
fiddling.
For some reason the first time I started it the read didn't timeout and was
never satisifed - incoming call doesn't produce 255 bytes which is the size
of the buffer that the Meteor connector uses. (Use PortMon from
www.sysinternals.com to monitor COM port activity).
However, after stopping the meteor connector and then running RealTerm to
ensure that the unit was operating correctly, I found that the Meteor
connector worked when restarted. i.e. Each read timedout as it polled the
serial port for data.
However, this presented another problem.
As the Meteor connector is cross platform I doubt whether it makes use of
any of the Windows specific COM functions (i.e. WaitForCommMask()). This
means that it polls the COM port and results in the CPU maxing out :o(
Thanks,
Andy.
