Suggest you try invoking the installer program directly from the command
li=
ne logged in on the full administrator account. That should get round any
n=
eed to elevate user privelidges (which doesn't work with custom actions in
=
XP installers, apparently, from a little googling)

Not tried =96 can you extract the contents of a .msi =96 or maybe I should=
just get it from an XP install?

Oh yuck, don't like the sound of that and don't have vista to test.
Will it install using installutil.exe?
eg
installutil.exe "C:\Program Files...HubService.exe"

Still can=92t get the hub installed =96 as before, it quits part way thro=
ugh. Something to do with data execution prevention.
Is there a manual way of installing the service that I can try?
Vista is now my main O/S as it=92s all working lovely apart from any xAP =
apps L L L
Cheers,
Paul.
