Thanks James,
I was really trying to work out if Blue can be used in the way I was
thinki=
ng. Any idea what kind of range most transmitters have? I guess they may
no=
t be weak enough for this kind of use?
I don=92t presume there=92s any way to determine the strength of the
receiv=
ed signal and hence work out which receiver is closest to a device? What
ha=
ppens if you have two BT receivers and one transmitter =96 both in range
bu=
t one closer than the other? Will the closest win out?
I have a USB extender via Cat5 but not used it yet =96 might just be too
bu=
lky (and expensive if I need several) anyway.
I guess the other simpler way is if I only want 2 =91locations=92 that it
w=
ill detect =96 both separated a fair distance in the house. I=92d only use
=
one device that detects when the iPhone is in range and hence would
display=
a certain page in iViewer e.g. if I=92m up in my office in the loft, the i=
viewer app would display the relevant page for the loft will all the
suitab=
le buttons. Anywhere else in the house would show the other main page that
=
would be suitable for use outside my loft.
I=92d need to check the range of the BT transmitter though =96 if it does
g=
et picked up through the two floors, this obviously wouldn=92t work.
Cheers,
Paul.

Paul,
Each copy of Blue can only talk to 1 radio, however you can use multiple
co=
pies of Blue on the same PC to talk to multiple radios. If you look in
the=
config file you can set the radio number. Finding which radio is which is =
a bit trail and error but on startup Blue puts the used mac address in the
=
log window and most bluetooth devices have the mac address printed on the
s=
ide, or just use ipconfig. What hardware are you using to put a usb
device=
over cat5?
