There tend to be two types of radios, the 10m type and the 100m type.  =
=20
I have one of the 100m types and probably get about 10m tops out of=20=20
it, but that is through walls and ceilings etc.   With that kind of=20=20
small range i would of thought multiple detectors would work well. 
As=20=20
I only have 1 I don't know if there are interference issues between=20=20
them, probably not but worth checking.  The framework I use doesn't=20=20
give out signal strength info so I have no way to output it.
I would say the bluetooth in the iphone is virtually useless for this=20=20
application as it's undetectable unless you turn discovery on and
that=20=20
only stays on when you are running the bluetooth screen. You may do=20=20
better detecting the iphone by ping it via an accesspoint or maybe
get=20=20
the accesspoint to report what devices are online
