Hopefully people will find all of xpl simpler.

You can definetly do that.
I have an app for sending ir commands to redrat2's
It sends
Zone=<instance of receiving redrat>
Device=<description of device e.g. dvdchanger>
Button=<description of button e.g. power on>
It allows the button and device tags to be repeated, for multiple
commands
And for each device you can specifiy multiple buttons

It's working great.
I have a wireless pda accessing my intranet and I can press a picture of
a dvd
And it loads it into the dvd changer and starts playing.

Weve tried to keep xpl as minimal as possible.
